Privacy Policy

This policy explains how personal data is handled when you read Beincyprus.com at blog.beincyprus.com. It is written to be accurate about how little we collect: there are no cookies, no advertising, and no tracking of you.

Who is responsible for your data

Two parties are involved, with distinct roles. The publisher, Antonis Ellinas(“the Publisher”), is the data controller for its content and for anyone who subscribes to its newsletter. Cybervelia Ltd (“the Platform”) provides the reading service that hosts and delivers the Publisher’s content and acts only as a processor/conduiton the Publisher’s behalf — plus controller of the non-personal, aggregate statistics described below.

What the Platform collects

Aggregate view counts only. The Platform keeps a simple per-article counter (an integer) of how many times an article has been viewed. This figure is not personal data: no IP address, device identifier, location, or any information capable of identifying you is stored or derived. There is no analytics cookie, fingerprinting, or profiling. The legal basis is the Platform’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in basic, non-personal audience figures.

Newsletter subscriptions

If you choose to subscribe, the form asks for your email address and, optionally, your first name. The Platform forwards this straight to the Publisher and does not store or log it — it is a pass-through. The Publisher, as controller, receives and manages your subscription and sends you its newsletter. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by submitting the form and can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.

No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking technologies. Nothing about your visit is used to build a profile of you.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because the Publisher is the controller of newsletter data, please direct such requests to Antonis Ellinas at antonis.ellinas@grawe.cy. If you cannot reach the Publisher, contact the Platform at info@jakalon.com and we will forward your request to the controller. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Retention and location

The Platform stores no personal data at rest; aggregate counters contain no personal data and are kept as ongoing statistics. Newsletter data is retained by the Publisher under its own policy. The Platform is established in Cyprus and operates its infrastructure within the European Union.
